A little heads up about the fossil awards: day 1 saw the annex 1 countries picking up the award due to their poor commitment to abating CC coming into the conference.
Day 2 had Ukraine cementing its place in fossil history picking up 2 awards. One of them for not divulging information on AAU’s revenue (what they used the money for).
A document drafted by developed countries leaked yesterday to The Guardian which gave more power to developed countries. It doesn’t seem to have had an impact within the conference center itself.
CDM executive board Q&A opened with the storm as disgruntled project developers demanding answers to the slow registration process. Also we got a positive feedback from the secretariat where an external consultant, McKinsey, was hired to analyse the stumbling blocks in the process, coming up with valued recommendations that will be implemented to facilitate and speed up the CDM cycle.
That’s all for the moment because we’re late for an event kicking off now.
